It’s common knowledge that employees love feeling appreciated. More than the grand gestures, though, it’s the little everyday actions that will go a long way in making them feel like a more valued member of the organization.
An easy and proactive way to achieve that is by placing a stack of ‘Thank You’ notes in an easily accessible area in the office, so as to encourage employees to give these to one another, regardless of their designation.
Is it too simple? Sure. But the personal touch helps foster a feeling that they're appreciated and valued by their colleagues, which in turn will make them value the organization as well.
